The Volta Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. James Gunu believes that if there was any time that Ghana needed Rawlings to save the nation, it is now.
“If there was any time Ghana needed Jerry Rawlings to save it then is now.”
Addressing party members in the Hohoe Constituency of the Volta Region to commemorate the 41st anniversary of the 31st December Revolution, Hon. Gunu lamented over how things have become worse in all aspects of the Ghanaian life.
According to him, the hardship Ghanaians are going through currently was caused by the mismanagement of the economy by President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, massive corruption in all levels of government and the menace of create, loot and share.
He noted that just like how Rawlings came in to save the nation from the disaster it was led into, Ghanaians will also give Former President John Dramani Mahama the chance on 7th December 2024, to come and save them.
Speaking to the Volta Regional correspondent of InsiderGH.com, Mr. Gunu stated that the core values of the 31st December Revolution, which forms the foundation of the 4th Republic, must be upheld.
According to Mr. Gunu, Ewes are naturally revolutionaries, hnce, the exodus from Nortse under King Agorkorli.
He further called on the people to emulate and protect the good legacies of President Jerry John Rawlings.
