President-elect John Dramani Mahama has appointed a five-member committee to gather evidence and facilitate investigations for his anti-corruption initiative, Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL).

The committee, which is tasked with supporting the incoming administration’s commitment to tackling corruption and recovering misappropriated state resources, will begin its work immediately after the inauguration of the new government.

The committee is led by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a well-known advocate for transparency and accountability, who will serve as the Chairman. Joining him on the team are high-profile figures with extensive experience in governance, law enforcement, and investigative journalism.

Mr. Daniel Domelevo, a former Auditor-General, who is known for his tenure marked by a commitment to transparency and fiscal responsibility, will serve as a member. Alongside him is COP (Rtd) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye, a retired police officer with a wealth of experience in national security and anti-corruption investigations.

Legal practitioner Martin Kpebu, a passionate advocate for constitutional governance and accountability, is also part of the committee, contributing his expertise in law and policy. Raymond Archer, an investigative journalist renowned for his in-depth reporting on corruption and government accountability, completes the team. Archer’s addition is seen as vital in ensuring that the committee’s work is backed by credible investigative journalism.

President-elect Mahama emphasized that the formation of this committee is an essential step in fulfilling his commitment to tackling corruption within the first 120 days of his presidency.

The Operation Recover All Loot initiative is central to Mahama’s anti-corruption drive, which aims to restore public confidence in the government and strengthen the country’s democratic institutions. The committee is expected to work closely with various investigative bodies and public agencies to ensure that the process is thorough and transparent.
