Albert Nat Hyde, also known as Bongo Ideas in the online realm, has come forward with chilling details of an alleged abduction and torture.
According to reports, Bongo Ideas was apprehended by authorities following a social media post he shared. However, both the Police and National Security agencies have vehemently denied any involvement in his detainment, leaving the circumstances surrounding his ordeal cloaked in uncertainty.
After a period of distressing ambiguity, Bongo Ideas finally returned home, reportedly bearing the scars of a profoundly traumatic experience.
In his initial interview post-release, Bongo Ideas spoke exclusively to German broadcaster DW Africa, shedding light on his terrifying encounter. He pointed fingers at individuals masquerading as law enforcement officers for orchestrating his ordeal.
Recounting the harrowing events, Bongo Ideas described how, in the early hours of March 14, 2024, at approximately 3:00 am, he was forcibly taken from his residence by assailants posing as policemen. Threatened at gunpoint, he endured physical assault and was warned against dissenting voices targeting the President.
His revelations sparked a flurry of reactions on social media. While some placed blame on Hyde for purportedly provoking such aggression, others condemned the attack, advocating for the use of democratic avenues to address issues with Bongo Ideas rather than resorting to covert methods of intimidation.
