Ghanaian political commentator Kevin Taylor, based in the U.S., has reiterated his assertion regarding the apprehension of Otumfuo and his subordinate chiefs towards Chairman Wontumi of the NPP in the Ashanti Region.
Kevin Taylor firmly stated that when Chairman Wontumi began encountering issues with the Ashanti chiefs, they refrained from penalizing him due to their fear of him. He emphasized that the entire controversy would ultimately amount to nothing because Wontumi holds more influence than Otumfuo.
His forecast was proven accurate as Wontumi faced no repercussions from Manhyia, instead receiving a gentle admonition to refrain from further transgressions.
Following his appearance at Manhyia on Monday, Chairman Wontumi clarified his remarks about possessing a political dominion and was released without any consequences.
Kevin Taylor asserts that this leniency towards Wontumi stems from the substantial leverage he holds over many of the chiefs, prompting their trepidation of him.
