Politics and leadership in my view can best be understood by the very people who have occupied leadership positions before and appreciated very well the challenges that comes with it. Human beings will always be fallible because we are not God.
I have read interesting comments from some of our pages and some excuses some people have given regarding our MP (RAGGA). To me, some of the reasons are very flimsy and if we do not take care we might loose it all.
Some NDC members are not even shy to state publicly that our MP has not met their personal demands for which reason(s), they are presenting or supporting candidates in the parliamentary primaries. Indeed, NDC is a Democratic Party and each qualified member is free to contest. However, I will always stand against people who will want to pull others down just because they want to occupy a position.
I have been in Cape Coast North for long a time to see how the NDC struggled in 2016 and prior to the 2020 elections. I have also seen the challenges RAGGA had to go through to secure this seat for us. NPP is struggling hard to get a contender for him and some of us think we should change him, and at this critical time in the life our party when NPP is seeking to break our front to make their breaking the 8 agenda possible?
In fact I have picked an intel that an NPP kingpin is sponsoring someone to contest RAGGA in the primaries just so his quest to lead the constituency will be realized. Let us be smart!!!
BEFORE WE FORGET: Ragga is the reason the NDC did very well on UCC campus. The records show that we have never won on UCC campus before since 1992. The man who is loved by both NDC and NPP is RAGGA and our best bet into 2024.
Don’t just take anything told you about RAGGA hook-line and sinker. Find the veracity of those allegations. The man is in the constituency every weekend to attend programs and work on projects in the constituency. He is the only MP in Cape Coast North whose government is in opposition and has been in office for ONLY TWO years with lots of evidence of work to show. Truth be told, Ragga is doing better than even what some NPP MPs are doing when they have all the resources and government machinery.
If NDC is serious about retaining the Cape Coast North Seat then the needless propaganda must STOP immediately if not the NPP will still use those very words we said about each other against us in 2024. I will never FORGIVE anyone who will make us suffer in vein. We have suffered enough already in opposition.
Let’s do things in the interest of NDC, in unity and one accord support our preferred candidates by telling what they seek to do and not spreading lies and propaganda.
Considering the kind of contest we are facing with NPP in 2024, RAGGA is the bet for the NDC because he has something to show.
