The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, has commenced a critical and high-energy campaign tour across the Volta Region.
This initiative is aimed at drumming up massive support for the NDC’s presidential candidate, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and the party’s parliamentary candidates ahead of the December 7 general elections.
The tour forms part of the NDC’s nationwide strategy to secure a decisive victory and advance their “Resetting Ghana Agenda,” a vision centered on inclusive development and rebuilding the nation.
Key Activities and Engagements
Hon. Fifi Kwetey’s itinerary will feature strategic engagements with key stakeholders, including traditional leaders, party supporters, and the broader electorate, to solidify the NDC’s base in the Volta Region—a traditional stronghold of the party.
The campaign begins on Friday, November 29, with a live interview on Jubilee Radio in Keta, reaching listeners across the region. Following the broadcast, Hon. Kwetey will pay courtesy calls to Paramount Chiefs in Klikor, Some, and Aflao to foster collaboration between the NDC and traditional authorities. Later in the day, he will headline the Ketu South Constituency Rally in Keyibormè, Aflao, where he will deliver a passionate appeal to voters.
The day’s activities will culminate in a meeting with Togbi Adogo Agbalekpor, the Paramount Chief of Tagba Traditional Area in Akatsi North, underscoring the NDC’s commitment to working closely with traditional leaders to drive development.
On Saturday, November 30, Hon. Kwetey will hold an important dialogue with the Standing Committee of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, a move designed to strengthen ties with the region’s custodians of culture and governance. The tour will climax with a grand rally at the Hohoe RC Park, where thousands of supporters are expected to gather to hear the NDC’s vision for Ghana’s future.
