The Senior National Team, the Black Stars of Ghana, will compete against any of the five teams listed below in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers playoffs for a spot in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana secured a 1-0 controversial victory over South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
Ghana’s victory came after Daniel Amartey went down in the South African box after minimal contact from defender Rushine de Reuck.
The referee, Maguette Ndiaye, awarded a penalty, which Andre Dede Ayew easily scored to send Ghana to the playoffs of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars are in Pot 2 of the World Cup qualifiers and will face one of these teams; Algeria, Senegal, Nigeria, Tunisia or Morocco.
