Former President John Dramani Mahama has urged all members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to fight hard to bring the party to power.
People who have fought tirelessly to bring their political party to power have been largely ignored and denied opportunities over the years.
Former President Mahama made these statements when addressing supporters of the party on Wednesday during his Thank You Tour. He indicated that the NDC will reward hard work in its next administration.
“We urge you all to work hard and bring the party back to power. When you work hard and we come into office we won’t forget you, the party shall not forget you.”
“If you die for the party, the party will also die for you when we come into office,” he added.
According to him, “many unions are unhappy with the negotiations that took place where a paltry 4 per cent was given to them” when those of Article 71 officeholders have been given wider increment.”
He spoke on the rising cost of fuel and food in the country, and further encouraged traditional rulers to complain about how “hard” life has become under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
