A lecturer at the Department of Political Science in the University of Ghana, Professor Ransford Gyampo, has descended heavily on social media ‘landguards’ of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for using cheap strategies aimed at courting public disaffection for UTAG due to their ongoing strike.
His reaction followed the wild circulation of several fake press release in the name of UTAG.
The press releases that are in circulation holds that the ongoing UTAG strike has been called off.
Professor Gyampo believes that the fake UTAG press statements are strategically designed by the social media landguards of the NPP.
According to him, the NPP social media landguards are not smart enough to outsmart UTAG and the general public.
He went on to say that, unemployment and underemployment are the reasons why these young people have reduced themselves into social media landguards of the NPP.
According to him, all those press statements that are suggesting that the ongoing UTAG strike has been suspended are fake and must be disregarded.
