Former President John Dramani Mahama has told Ghanaians and staunch members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the party is going with its own referees for the 2024 general elections.
Mr Mahama indicated that, the 2020 election petition has affirmed the fact that elections in Ghana are duly won at the various polling stations and not the Supreme Court.
Speaking to Prince Kwame Minkah on Tonton SANSAN on TV XYZ, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections assured the NDC that, in the 2024 elections , the party would put all pragmatic measures in place to win on the ground and eschew going to the supreme Court to seek redress.
“We are going to approach the elections with all tactics. We are going with our own referees in this elections. The elections will be won or lost at the polling stations”
The former president also said the NDC increased it’s seats in the greater Accra Region in the Parliamentary elections. “…we overturned our gains in Greater Accra from 14 seats to 20 seats. So we have majority of seats in Greater Accra. The 6 extra seats in Greater Accra has helped us in our numbers at Parliament,” he added.
He lavished Praises on the supporters of the NDC for their unflinching support and contribution to the NDC’S convincing performance in the 2020 general elections.
