The entire ground floor of the Kumasi Central Market, popularly known as Kajetia Market, in the city of Kumasi, got flooded on Thursday June 24, 2021 after a downpour.

This led to a situation where thousands of traders got displaced, and goods worth millions of cedis destroyed and carried away.

After only four hours of rains, parts of the Central Business District got flooded, preventing commuters from moving from town to their various destinations.

Some poultry farms within the city were also heavily affected as the rains took over the farms, destroying millions of investment made by the owners. Below is a picture of such situation;
