Mr. Kwesi Amoako Atta, the Minister for Roads and Highways has reiterated that, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government through his Ministry is fixing deplorable roads in Ghana.
He unequivocally said, the New Patriotic Party government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo started fixing roads in Ghana in a very strong manner from January 2017 to date.
According to him, It’s rediculous to hear people saying that, we are in 2021 so roads must be fixed. He believes that, anyone who cannot see roads constructed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government is far behind.
He added that, individuals launching campaign for roads to be fixed are many years behind, hence must catch up with them on recent data on roads constructed by government.
“Those people should double up and follow us and know where we are. We have left them behind.” He said.
The Minister also used the opportunity to outlined Government’s achievements in the Sector. Explaining further, he said, Nana Addo’s government in its first term succeeded in constructing 4,000km of roads, worked on 7 interchanges and constructed over 40 bridges.
He also disclosed that, the Government in the next four years is committed to a programmme of constructing 6,000km of roads, 200 bridges and 20 interchanges across the country.
