The Ashanti Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Kwame Zu has urged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the ruling New Patriotic Party to set aside some time to soberly reflect and consider the many economic issues that they have brought to Ghanaians.
Speaking at the just ended NPP National Delegates Conference in Kumasi as the leader of the NDC delegation at the conference, Kwame Zu stated that things have become very bad in the country to the extent that everyone is caught up in the strong arms of suffering.
According to him, currently, teachers, students, doctors, nurses, farmers, drivers, market women and all Ghanaians in general are suffering.
He went further to also questioned why the Akufo-Addo-led administration is so determined to impose sets of draconian taxes on Ghanaians despite all these hardships they have created for them.
He urged the President and his team to reconsider the 1.75% E-Levy they are determined to impose on the already overburdened Ghanaians who are always crying because things are not going well.
