The Minister of Finance, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta has reacted to the ongoing controversial debate about the anti-LGBTQI Bill.

In an interview with Paul Adom-Otchere on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana on Thursday, November 18, 2021, Mr. Ofori-Atta stated that the entire LGBTQI conversation is Biblical in the Sense that God created all of us in his own image.

“In each person is God’s image. I can’t begin therefore to make judgements on the person … I may not like what I determine to be a sin but as long as God’s image is in that person,” it will be difficult to pass judgement on them.

According to him, he finds it difficult when it comes to the issue of criminalizing LGBTQI activities in the country because he knows that everyone was born in the image of God.

He revealed that even though he is yet to read the anti-LGBTQI Bill, it strikes him that the discussions about the Bill are going along the wrong way.
