Reports sighted by InsiderGH.com shows that the Ghana Police Service have on Saturday, September 25, 2021, shot two suspected armed robbers who later died on admission at the hospital.
They are Joseph Dagodzo, and Mujahid Abubakar, alias Sule.
According to the press release from the police in relation to this case, the police made a move on the suspects when they attempted to rob motorist on the Koluedor – Sege – Accra main road.
After their arrest, they were interrogated. During the interrogation, the suspected robbers disclosed their source of weapons to the police.
According to them, Bukari Salifu is the one who provides them with the necessary weapons to embark on robberies.
According to the Police, the two deceased armed robbers pretended to be helping the police to retrieve some weapons from their supplier and to also arrest some of their accomplices who had escaped from the robbery scene.
In this process, the two led the police into the purported hideout of their accomplices in a bush around Zenu.
In the bush, the police came under heavy gun attacks and the two attempted to take advantage of the ambush to escape.
They were however shot in the process and we’re quickly rushed to the Police Hospital for medical attention, but they passed on.
The police have used intelligence available to them to also arrest their financier and supplier of weapons.
A Blow F9-22 pistol, a locally made pistols, and a motorbike were retrieved from them.
