A memo sighted by InsiderGH.com shows that the Tamale Central Hospital has cancelled all surgeries until further notice because of the shortage of essential supplies and water in the Hospital.

According to the memo, the cancellation of surgeries in the hospital has taken effect from yesterday, December 23, 2021.

The memo further revealed that patients in the hospital have been paying for almost all consumables needed for their surgeries for the past three weeks.

According to management of the hospital, buying of consumables by patients has led to a lot of negative discussions about the hospital on social media, hence the need to cancel all surgeries.
