Former President John Dramani Mahama has subtly jabbed Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia over an old video believed to be taken before the 2016 election, that has resurfaced online.

In the video sighted by, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was seen speaking against the one percent (1%) Tax imposed on savings and investments during the John Mahama-led NDC administration.

Despite the quick withdrawal of the tax by the Mahama-led NDC administration, Vice President Bawumia, the then running mate of the then opposition New Patriotic Party insisted that the fact that the Mahama administration thought of imposing such a tax brings to mind several questions about those who were bringing such policies.

According to him, the Mahama administration tried imposing taxes on anything taxable because they were desperate and had mismanaged the economy.

In the video, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia stressed that the imposition of taxes by the John Mahama-led administration were bound to hurt the Ghanaian economy and cripple it from the much needed growth.
