Reports available to indicates that on Sunday, October 24, 2021, seven people were reported dead in two separate accidents in the Central Region.

A trailer collided with a taxi carrying five people on the Abeadzi Dominase-Mankessim road, killing them all.

According to a police source, the trailer with the registration number GE 2001-11 crashed into the taxi in the opposite lane while speeding.

The taxi, which was carrying five people, became stuck beneath the trailer, which then somersaulted and crashed on the car.

All five people perished instantly.

The trailer driver and his aide are being treated for critical injuries at Saltpond Government Hospital.

Two people have also perished on the spot in another collision between a Sprinter car and a trailer on the Cape Coast road near Apam junction.

A mother and her three-month-old infant perished at the scene and were taken to the Apam Government Hospital mortuary, while the eight others who were injured are being treated at the same facility.

According to multiple reports sighted by this portal, the sprinter was reportedly traveling from Nzema to Volta Region, while the trailer was in route from Takoradi to Accra.
