Information from family sources available to InsiderGH.com indicates that former Member of Parliament for Wa Central Constituency in the Upper West Region, Alhaji Mumuni Abudu Seidu has passed on after a short illness.
The celebrated politician, educationist and founder of the Dan Ibu International School passed on in the early hours of Monday, December 20, 2021.
He was once a former Minister of State without portfolio. From 7 January 1993 to 6 January 2005, Hon. M. A. Seidu served as the Member of Parliament for Wa Central.
He assumed office as a member of the First Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana on January 1993, after he was pronounced winner at the 1992 Ghanaian parliamentary election held on 29 December 1992.
Prior to entering politics, Hon. M. A. Seidu was an educationist and a manager. He was a tutor, headmaster, and once served as a director of education. He was also a proprietor of a private school and the managing director of a construction firm.
InsiderGH.com has also discovered that Alhaji Mumuni Abudu Seidu was the father-in-law of the MP for North Tongu, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. His wife, Nuhela Seidu is a daughter of the late Former Wa Central MP.
