The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Boamah Otokunor has urged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to resign and hand over power immediately if he is frustrated by peoples’ dissatisfaction for his rule.
His comments came after the President gave a cheeky response to the Paramount Chief of Aflao, Adzongaga Torgbui Amenya Fiti V over the completion of an E-Block that was started by John Dramani Mahama in the Ketu South Constituency.
As reported earlier by InsiderGH.com, the Paramount Chief met a delegation of Minority MPs in Parliament’s Committee on Education during their tour of the Constituency to look at how the Akufo-Addo-led government abandoned important educational projects in the Ketu South Constituency.
During the encounter with the delegation, the Chief urged the government to do something about the E-Block and further gave them a four-month ultimatum to complete it so that the people of Aflao would benefit from it.
The President, however, replied by asking the Chief to complete the E-Block if he is frustrated by the delay in the completion of the Project.
Reacting to this development and the utterances of the President on the issue, the NDC Deputy General Secretary believes that the President should resign if he is frustrated by the fact that people are expressing dissatisfaction with his rule.
