Information reaching InsiderGH.com from trusted sources within the Ghana Police Service indicates that the police have traced the armed robbers who were the brains behind the James Town Bullion Van attack that led to the lost of two lives.
During the attack, a police Constable, Emmanuel Osei was gunned down together with one other civilian.
Constable Emmanuel Osei was on his regular duty escorting the Bullion Van that came under heavy attack around James Town, a suburb of the national capital, Accra.
The police were reported to have obtained reliable intelligence about the location of the perpetrators.
They quickly dispatched a crew of about 20 heavily armed police officers from Accra on 25th June, to Koforidua, the Regional capital, to help arrest the armed robbers.
According to multiple reports, the armed robbers were in a “white house” around Okroase Methodist Junction in the Regional capital.
Unfortunately for the police, by the time they got there, the suspects were nowhere to be found.
It was reported that they [armed robbers] were informed about the presence of the police and managed escape.
The police found one Range Rover and a motorbike on the compound. They believe the car and the motorbike belongs to the suspects.
The Police went ahead to tow the Range Rover and motorbike they found at the suspects’ hideout.
Strangely, all the other occupants of the building in question, believed to be Nigerians, have been exhibiting strange lifestyle that raises suspicion about their engagement in criminal activities.
