Kofi Gunu, a strong youth activist and communicator of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reacted to the inability of the Fire Service to bring the recent fire outbreak at Makola market under control.
He questioned how we got to a point where the Ghana Police Service always have enough water to disperse protesters but the Ghana National Fire Service continues to struggle to get water to quench fire outbreaks in the country.

His reaction comes after the Ghana National Fire Service blames their inability to bring the recent Makola fire outbreak that destroyed millions of properties under control on the lack of water.
According to reports, the Fire Service says that the lack of access to water in the Central business district of Accra was a major hindrance in the battling Monday’s fire outbreak at Makola.
According to the Mayor of Accra, the fire hydrants around had no water in them at the time of the fire.
