Hon. Henry Quartey, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, has made an allegation that some onion sellers at Agbogbloshie market in Accra have contracted a spiritualist to kill him.

According to Mr. Henry Quartey, the action of the agitated traders is basically because he intends to relocate them to the ‘abandoned’ Adjin Kotoku site as part of his agenda to “Make Accra Work.”

Making these interesting revelations on Accra based Net 2 TV, Mr. Henry Quartey noted that nothing will make him stop the implementation of the “Let’s Make Accra Work” campaign.”

He believed that divine intervention will always keep him safe from ‘evil’ predicaments and help him in playing his role in actualising the campaign.

“Whether they (traders) like it or not, we will move them because we have made an alternative arrangement for them. I have heard they have gone to some mallam [spiritualist] to kill me.”

“They are kidding. They should tell the mallam [spiritualist] to return to his hometown because so far as God exists, nothing will happen to Henry Quartey, and by July 1, 2021, we shall move them,” he insisted.

After his appointment as the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr. Henry Quartey embarked on some major operations with the goal of making the city attractive and orderly, but it seems the hurdles ahead of him are bigger than he anticipated.

There has been several rumors that even some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), his own political party are not happy with some of his activities for the fear of losing votes in certain parts of Accra in the future.
