History was made this afternoon as the beautiful town of Keta has presented the first school from the Volta Region to make it to the grand finale of the annual National Science and Maths Quiz.

At the end of the Semi Final Contest, Keta Senior High School secured 53 points, followed by Wesley Girls High School,who manged to secure 35 points.

Tamale Senior High School came third with 31 points.

KETASCO will face Defending Champions, Legon PRRSEC and the winner of this evening’s contest between Opoku Ware School, Prempeh College and the KNUST SHS, in the grand finale of this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz.

The journey so far

Keta SHTS had a cool chop in their contest with Fomena T.I. AMASS and Adventist SHS, Bantama, at the One-eighth Stage of the Championship. They successfully beat the two schools with 53 points at the end of the contest, to qualify to the Quarterfinal stage of the contest.

During their Quarterfinal Campaign, Keta SHTS scored 68 points, St. Louis SHS scored 51 points, with Ghana National College scoring  45 points, at the end of five rounds, which gave KETASCO a slot in the Semi-final.

The “coastal” dwellers managed to win their semi-final contest today with 53 points, booking a place in the grand finale of this year’s edition.
