The Member of Parliament for Essikado-Ketan Constituency in the Western Region, Hon. Joe Ghartey, seems to have key issues with a portion of the 2022 Budget Statement and Economic Policy which was read on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 by the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta.

This was sighted in a letter dated November 19, 2021, from Joe Ghartey to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Yusif.

His issue has to do with the Finance Minister’s claim in the 2022 Budget Statement that rehabilitation works on the Essipon Stadium, which is in the Essikado-Ketan Constituency, is 90% complete.

According to the Essikado-Ketan Lawmaker, his checks have revealed that rehabilitation works on the Essipon Stadium is not 90% complete as claimed by the Finance Minister.

According to him, if the information given to Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta is inaccurate, then he must be provided with accurate information on the project for him to advise himself accordingly.

He further stressed that the project in question is of great interest to him and his constituents.

Further checks by InsiderGH.com reveals that the rehabilitation works on the Essipon Stadium is not 90% complete as the Finance Minister claimed.
