The Adentan Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM 1, and two others to be arrested for their failure to appear in court to respond to allegations levelled against them.

Nana Appiah Mensah, the defunct Menzgold’s Chief Executive Officer, Gabriel Kwamigah, nicknamed Gabby, and Eric Amponsah Bediako, alias Cana, have all been charged with conspiring to defraud by false pretense.

Prior to the issuance of this bench warrant for their arrest, the Court had issued a criminal summons for them but all of them failed to honor the invitation.

The Court later ordered the accused who had failed to appear before it [the court] to appear on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

The accused persons, who are represented by Lawyer Yaw Danquah, failed again to appear before the court on Thursday as expected.

According to the prosecution team, NAM1 and the two others have declined several Police invitations extended to them.

Speaking to the media after court proceedings, the lawyer for the three accused persons, the lawyer for the three accused persons noted that his clients should have been served personally with the criminal summons.
