The National Organizer of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Joshua Hamidu Akamba has indicated that there will be a sharp reduction in voter turnout in the 2024 general election if John Dramani Mahama has not been chosen to lead the NDC.

He went ahead to further state that almost all Ghanaians have lost hope in the Akufo-Addo-led NPP government and are placing their faith in the NDC to chose john Mahama to come and rescue the nation from the mess it finds itself.

Mr Akamba believes that from all indications, the NDC stands a strong chance of winning the next election with Mahama as candidate.

He therefore called on Supporters to rally behind the leadership of the party as they begin the reorganization of the Party.
