Hon Haruna Iddrisu, the Owner and President of Steadfast FC, has confirmed that Liverpool has signed young Ghanaian wonderkid Fatawu Issahaku in a £1.5m deal.

The English Premier League side have gazumped Bayer Leverkusen by snatching Abdul Fatawu Issahaku from the jaws of the German side.

According to reports available to InsiderGH.com, though Liverpool are yet to confirm the deal, it is thought that an announcement is now far away and will also include confirmation that Issahaku will spend next season on loan in Portugal with league champions Sporting CP.

The former Steadfast FC star has enjoyed an incredible year, having played an instrumental role in Ghana’s U-20 Africa Cup of Nations triumph in Mauritania.

He earned his first call-up for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe in March.

The highly rated teen was also named in the squad that played Ghana’s recent friendly matches against Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire.
