The former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Samuel Koku Anyidoho has taken NDC’s Dzifa Gunu to court for defamation.

On 16th January 2021, Dzifa Gunu posted about Koku Anyidoho on his Facebook wall. Below is Dzifa Gunu’s post.

According to Koku’s law suit, Dzifa’s post has painted black a reputation he worked so hard to build.

According to Koku, all what Dzifa posted were deliberate attempts to reduce him [Koku Anyidoho] in the estimation of all right-thinking persons who read the post both in Ghana and across the globe.

Koku went further to state that, Dzifa’s post has “brought his hard won reputation into hatred, ridicule, obloquy, discredit, contempt, vilification, reproach and has caused great emotional distress and trauma.”

He therefore demands a damage of ten million Ghana Cedis as a damage for defamation. The suit further asks the court to put an injunction on Dzifa to prevent him from posting such stuffs henceforth. He also want the court to force Dzifa to delete the post from his well and ensure that any news portal that reported on the story, pulls down their articles.
