US-based Ghanaian investigative journalist and Chief Executive Officer of Loud Silence Media, Kevin Ekow Taylor, has responded to the $9.5 million defamation suit filed against him by Kennedy Agyapong.

The Assin Central Member of Parliament has filed a defamation suit against Kevin Taylor in a Virginia based court, demanding an amount of $9,500,000.00 as damages caused him.

In his law suit, the Assin Central lawmaker stated that Kevin Taylor has made some false and defamatory statements that have produced negative effects on his personal, political and business reputation.

Reacting to Kennedy’s suit, Kevin Taylor stated that his Lawyers will soon respond to the defamation suit filed against him.

He also urged the Assin Central lawmaker not to rash back to Ghana because his Lawyers will deal with the defamation suit soon — in a week or two.

According to him, Kennedy Agyapong needs to understand that “it is a libel case – If you claim I’ve said something about you, it is up to you to prove that what I said about you is not true.”

He however noted that he will let the judges know who Kennedy Agyapong is.

“I will let the Judges understand who the Kennedy Agyapong is. He claims he is a Member of Parliament and that he has been an Honorable Member for a long time. But he is an honorable person who can sit on TV in Ghana and tell judges that they are fools,” he stated.
