Investigations by the Police Service has revealed that the death of Ejura-based Mohammed Iddrisu, popularly known as Macho Kaaka, has nothing to do with his social media activism.
According to reports, one Baba Iddi was responsible for Kaaka’s death and not by any assailants like earlier reports suggested.
He has since been arrested, arraigned before court and remanded into police custody to help with further investigations.
In a related development, the Special Committee formed by the Government of Ghana to look into the Ejura issue has already started work.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah appeared before the three-member committee earlier today to justify the deployment of military personnel in Ejura.
According to him, the intelligence available to the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC) forced him to deploy the military and police personnel to Ejura.
