Madam Kate Gyamfua, the National Women’s organizer for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has boldly predicted the percentage of women who will be endorsed to occupy the positions of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in Akufo-Addo’s Second term in office.
According to her, she is very optimistic that the NPP will this time around get 30% threshold of women who will occupy the positions of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives.
In a press release sighted by InsiderGH.com, Kate Gyamfua explained that every good government or administration needs at least 30% of women in key positions.
She seized the opportunity to congratulate all the women rocking shoulders with their male counterparts and wished them well in their bold attempt to serve in the positions of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives.
She went ahead to also pledge her continuous and unflinching support for all women who want to be nominated by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
She also advised all and sundry including the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to Support the Agenda of getting 30% of women in government.
Kate Gyamfua was part of the panelist for the vetting of the potential MMDCEs in the Central Region.
