Controversial social commentator, Blakk Rasta on Monday, 25 October 2021 slammed Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia over some events leading to the final funeral ceremony of her mother, Mariama Bawumia.

Hajia Bawumia kicked the bucket on September 13, 2021. She was buried the next day in comformity with the traditions of Islam. The final funeral rite was then scheduled to take place on 24 October, 2021.

Ahead of the final funeral rites in Walewale, the capital town of North East Region of Ghana, some social amenities which were in a deplorable state within the community were fixed with alacrity. Street lights were fixed while deplorable roads saw facelift.

According to the reggae music legend, the Vice President deserves some hot
slaps from his deceased mother. He opined that the practice where by people wait for their relatives to die before improving the state of their communities and homes is an obnoxious one which must be abhored.

“If I were Dr Bawumia’s mother, I would have given him a hot slap”, Blakk Rasta stressed on his taxi driver show on Monday.

People from all walks of life thronged the Walewale on Saturday to sympathize with Dr Bawumia and his family for the lost.

Key political figures including the President, Nana Akufo Addo, Ministers of state, Members of Parliament, religious leaders, traditional rulers and party foot soldiers greased the solemn occasion.
