The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah has made allegations that he saw an NDC MP who used a razor blade to slash the face of the Minister for Youths and Sports and MP for Yagaba Kubori Constituency, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, during last night’s infamous brawl in Parliament.
According to him, per what he has witnessed, he suspects the MP for Ayensuano Constituency, Hon. Teddy Safori Addi and another MP he identified as Hon. Amoh to be behind the sharp cut on the Sports Minister’s forehead.
He also revealed that he was part of the people who took the Sports Minister to the Parliamentary Clinic for treatment after he started bleeding profusely.
“This is sad. If the children of this man wails, it goes on the Speaker,” he added.
His comment follows a scuffle in the Chamber of Parliament last night during voting on whether the E-levy should be considered by the House under a certificate of urgency.
During the exchange of blows among the MPs in the chamber, two heavy slaps landed on face of the Sports Minister, who was seen in the middle of the chaos.
However, he was rushed to the Parliamentary Clinic for treatment after sustaining an injury on the forehead.
