The Member of Parliament for Builsa South Constituency in the Upper East Region, Hon. Clement Abas Apaak has urged Ghanaians to disregard the desperate effusions and rants of the Majority Caucus.
According to him, such desperate effusions and rants from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and their MPs is only to divert public attention from the fact that the Minority stood strong with Ghanaians to reject the 2022 Budget Statement and Economic Policy.
He further urged bigwigs within the NPP who doesn’t want to come to terms with the rejection of the Budget to go to court.
“Parliament rejected the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia NPP budget. Ignore desperate effusions and rants intended to divert attention by the NPP, and its MPs. If Gabby and co have any issues with the outcome of yesterday’s proceedings leading to the rejection, they should go to court,” he stated.
He revealed that the NPP side in Parliament didn’t have the numbers to defend their budget.
He added that because of their numbers, they made a final plot to push the voting to Tuesday so that they could fly in two of thier members.
According to him, their efforts to push the voting to Tuesday failed, and so they walked out using Asiedu Nketiah as a cover.
