Ghanaians have taken to popular social media app, Twitter to express their grivances and more importantly put pressure on President Akufo-Addo and his government to take the necessary steps to remedy the situation.

The hastag “Fix The Country” took the number one spot on Twitter in Ghana right from the early hours of Monday May 3, 2021.

The concerns raised by many has to do with problems the contry is currently going through. Erractic power supply, galloping inflation, unemployment, high cost of living and many other concerns took center stage in this social media demonstration.

The #FixTheCountry hashtag is aimed at getting the high office of the country to sit up and get things done which will help the country live past our current situation now.

The frustration of Ghanaians started when a video surfaced of Chinese people using a cocoa harvesting machine to speed up the cocoa processing after venturing into large scale cocoa production.

According to Twitter users, the hashtag which has started on Twitter will soon end up on the streets; a move to let the government know of their intentions and frustrations about happenings in the country.
