A video of the body of the shot protester being conveyed for burial has popped up online.
In the early hours of Tuesday, 29th June 2021, the youths of Ejura embarked on a protest to display their frustration over the recent mob attackk that led to the death of Ibrahim Mohammed, well known as Macho Kaaka.
The mob attacked him with sticks and sharp objects until he fell down unconsciously in a pool of blood. They then abandoned him and fled.
He was later rushed to the Ejura hospital and was referred to the KATH, where he had been in critical condition until his death this afternoon, Monday, June 28.
During their protest, military men were deployed to calm tensions down.
Unfortunately, the military men who were to calm things down ended up shooting into the protesters.
This led to a situation where two of the protesters were shot dead on the spot with several others left injured
Ghanaians have since been lambasting the military and other security agencies, together with the President for the rate at which they are taking advantage of the peace in the country.
