Captain Smart has been released by the Nima Divisional Police Command hours after his arrest as reported in our earlier publications.
However, Media General, employers of Captain Smart have released a statement on the development.
According to them, Captain Smart’s comments are not unsavory as the police have alleged.
They have expressed serious concerns about the new trend of arresting journalists and media practitioners.
“Today’s arrest ,and detention of Captain Smart is by no means an isolated incident, but just one more egregious example of the intolerance increasingly creeping into the Ghanaian society,” a press release from Media General stated.
