Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, has filed criminal charges against Former Deputy Minister of Finance who is currently the Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam constituency in the Central Region, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and two others at an Accra High Court on Thursday, December 23, 2021 for causing financial loss of €2.37 million to the state.

The two others are Sylvester Anemana, who is a former Chief Director of the Ministry of Health and Mr. Richard Jakpa, a businessman.

According to the Attorney General, the three have caused a €2.37 million financial loss to the state in a deal to purchase some 200 ambulances for the country between 2014 and 2016.

They have been sued on five counts of willfully causing financial loss to the state, abetment to willfully cause financial loss to the state, contravention of the public procurement act and intentionally misapplying public property.
