Hon. Isaac Adongo, a Ghanaian politician and member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic, representing the Bolgatanga Central Constituency in the Upper East Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has coined new word to describe President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s strategy to loot.
According to him, the President and his families are just smartly using a master strategy to loot the state.
He accused them of using ‘clan-preneurship,’ a new word he has coined to describe the looting strategy of the President and his families.
He further revealed that under Akufo-Addo, Ghana lacks the ability to create opportunities for every citizen to realize his or her dream.
Hon Adongo made these comments on Wednesday, June 23, at a lecture organized by the Coalition for Restoration.
According to him, “in the colonial days when our forefathers shed they bloods to free our country from the claws of servitude, they did that in the spirit of togetherness to help create a fair, equitable and prosperous society where the basic rights and freedoms of every citizen would be respected and jealously guarded.
He established that the founder of the party he belongs to, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, also fought tirelessly to create equal opportunities for all Ghanaians to realize their dreams, share the national cake proportionately and be empowered to create a sustainable future for unborn generations.
According to him, even though these foundations were laid, the important ideals they entail have now been thrown to the dogs and has been replaced with a new culture of’clan-preneurship’ – prosperity through clan and family ties to people in power.
He indicated that with the approval of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party is busily promoting this culture in the nation.
