Founder and leader of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor has written to the highest court in the Republic of Ghana, the Supreme Court, telling them not to entertain the election petition been championed by the NDC.

“I am therefore by this letter appealing to your good office to ignore and cancel the case brought before you by John Dramani Mahama and the NDC party because is never true that Mrs. Jane Mensah stole votes for his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and all efforts made by Mrs. Jane Mensah on the declaration is true and clear but the NDC party is just throwing stones in the eyes Ghanaians. I hereby congratulate Mrs. Jane Mensah for Her good job done, God Bless Her,” the letter stated.

Akua Donkor is one of the twelve presidential candidates in the recently held 2020 Presidential election. Many Ghanaians believe that her party is funded by the President of Ghana, who doubles as the candidate of the New Patriotic Party, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

In a related development, the National Democratic Congress has filed a petition earlier today at the Supreme Court of Ghana, contesting the results declared by the Mrs. Jean Mensah-led Electoral Commission.
