The residents of Ahlepedo Electoral Area in the Akatsi South District of the Volta Region are crying for government to come to their aid to fix the deplorable roads in the Electoral Area.

In a short interview with InsiderGH.com, the residents of Sokpekorpe, Ahlepedo, Azame, Deve and other surrounding communities in the Electoral Area, expressed their disappointment over how the current government and previous ones never made any attempts to do anything about the bad roads in their Electoral Area.

According to the people InsiderGH.com‘s Volta Regional Correspondent spoke with, they are unable to transport their farm produce to the Akatsi main market due to the nature of their roads.

According to them, due to the nature of their roads, most drivers and okada riders are not ready to go to the communities in the Electoral Area to transport either their farm produce or even take the sick or pregnant women to the hospitals in Akatsi, the Municipal capital.

Speaking to InsiderGH.com, the Assemblyman for the area, Hon. Wemegah Eli Samuel highlighted the struggles the people in the electoral area go through whenever they want to transport those who fall sick and even pregnant women to the Akatsi South Municipal Hospital.

Hon. Wemegah went ahead to beg the government to come to the aid of the cummunities in the Ahlepedo Electoral Area. He also pleaded with the Member of Parliament for the Akatsi South Constituency, Hon. Bernard Ahiafor to also do something about the deplorable nature of roads in the Ahlepedo Electoral Area.

Checks by InsiderGH.com reveals that roads from Kpodzivi to Sokpekorpe, Ahlepedo to Ashagborvi, Azame to Dadame and several others in the area, need urgent attention.
